Day 1: Introduction to CAD and Practical Applications

  • General overview of the software and its specific uses in the global labor market.
  • Software installation, setup, and a deep dive into the User Interface (UI).
  • Mastering basic navigation commands and workspace controls.
  • Executing a simple initial project using basic drawing tools.

Day 2: Core Drawing Tools and Practical Execution

  • Mastering drawing commands: Lines, Circles, Arches, and Polygons.
  • Understanding and inputting precise coordinates (Absolute vs. Relative).
  • Utilizing Grid and Snap settings for high-precision drafting.
  • Drafting a complex geometric shape using combined drawing commands.

Day 3: Modification Tools and Design Enhancement

  • Utilizing modification tools: Move, Copy, Rotate, and Mirror.
  • Refining geometry with Trim, Extend, and Fillet commands.
  • Advanced Layer Management: Organizing designs by function and visibility.
  • Enhancing and optimizing previously drafted designs for professional output.

Day 4: Annotation, Dimensioning, and Layout Formatting

  • Integrating text, notes, and technical comments within the design.
  • Applying Dimensioning and customizing dimension styles for clarity.
  • Preparing drawings for plot/print and exporting to various digital formats (PDF, DWG, DXF).
  • Creating a comprehensive drawing sheet ready for presentation and review.

Day 5: Advanced Applications and Training Projects

  • Creating a basic architectural layout (e.g., a room or building floor plan).
  • Drafting a fundamental mechanical design (e.g., a machine part or axle).
  • Utilizing Blocks and Attributed Blocks to maximize workflow efficiency.
  • Design review session and industry best practices for professional drafting.
